Can toys be demonically possessed? Is it even possible for a a non living doll to come to life? The new movie Annabelle answers that question. The doll that is in the movie is a different doll all together that supposedly came alive. Annabelle was actually a Raggedy Ann Doll that was supposedly possessed. According the the Warrens website the origins of the doll begins when a mother buys the daughter a doll: In 1970 a mother purchased an antique Raggedy Ann Doll from a hobby store. The doll was a present for her daughter Donna on her birthday. Donna, at the time, was a student in college, preparing to graduate with her nursing degree and resided in a tiny apartment with her room mate Anngie (a nurse as well). Pleased with the doll Donna placed it on her bed as a decoration and didn’t give it a second thought until a few days later. With in that time both Donna and Angie noticed that there appeared to be something very strange and creepy about the doll. The doll apparently moved on its own, relatively unnoticeable movements at first, like a change in position, but as time passed the movement became more noticeable. Donna and Angie would come home to find the doll in a completely different room from which they had left it . Sometimes the doll would be found crossed legged on the couch with its arms folded , other times it was found upright, standing on its feet, leaning against a chair in the dining room. Several times Donna, placing the doll on the couch before leaving for work, would return home to find the doll back in her room on the bed with the door closed. So is it possible for a doll to be possessed? We must understand that the object itself cannot be possessed but according to some demonologists, they believe that the object can be attached by a demon to make it look as if it is alive. This will in turn make the owner acknowledge the doll so that the demon can try to possess the actual person. Remember the bible always speaks of demons possessing humans or animals. Mark 5:1-3 They came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gerasenes. 2 And when Jesus had stepped out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit.3 He lived among the tombs. And no one could bind.
Never once do we hear of toys or innate objects coming to life in the Bible. It makes logical sense that the entity is trying to get the owner of the object attention so that he/she will Let It In. The whole ghost concept phenomenon is actually demonic in nature. In its nature lies an opportunity for the the devils legion to enter. It preys on the weak and the strong. No one is immune to demonic possession. Every culture of the world has its demon stories. The story of Annabelle is as real as demonic possession gets, but it has nothing to do with the actual doll coming to life. If we look at the true meaning of the story it has everything to do with devouring your soul and destroying you. This is what the bible meant about the devil seeking to devour his prey. 1 Peter 5:8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. As our faith dwindles and our country becomes spiritually void, expect to see a rise of demonic activity here in our country. When we invite spirits into our lives, the consequences of that invitation is a destruction of our spiritual soul. This is whats happening in this country. We have invited unwanted spirits and have acknowledge their presence. Annabelle is just proof of that invitation
DON’T LET UNINVITING SPIRITS IN
ALETEIA.ORG: If the makers of “Annabelle” accomplished nothing else, they at least answered the one nagging question raised by the movie’s previews; why would anyone in their right mind ever purchase such a hideously evil looking doll in the first place?
The answer is, of course, because Annabelle is valuable. We learn as much after young resident-in-training, John Form, (Ward Horton) brings the titular doll home as a surprise present for his pregnant wife, Mia (Annabelle Wallis). Much to the actress’s credit (and the audience’s amusement), it has to be said that she does an excellent job of appearing excited upon opening the package and revealing Annabelle’s über-creepy visage. The thought of anyone being so ecstatic over receiving something so obviously crafted by Satan stretches credulity, but Wallis pulls it off.
The reason for Mia’s bizarre display of joy is quickly explained, however, as the mother-to-be turns and places Annabelle on a shelf with two or three other equally hideously evil-looking dolls. Annabelle, it turns out, is one of a set of highly sought-after collector’s pieces. Freakish, yes, but really just another pricey porcelain plaything to be put proudly on display READ MORE:http://www.aleteia.org/en/arts-entertainment/article/creepy-annabelle-gets-demonic-possession-right-5293498915880960
