All the Jewish feasts of the Israelite s have very important meaning for those who seek him out. The day of Atonement is a picture of Jesus Christ that was visualized in the Old Testament. Before Jesus Christ came to the world as a way of salvation, he was written in the pages of the Old Testament so that the Jews would recognized him when he came. Leviticus 17:11 – For the life of the flesh [is] in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it [is] the blood [that] maketh an atonement for the soul. This is our atonement of  life given to us for those to believe in the everlasting power of forgiveness!  1 Timothy 2:6 – Who (Jesus Christ) gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. The world continues to ignore this special gift sent by God.Leviticus 23:26-32- The Lord said to Moses, 27 “The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves,[a] and present a food offering to the Lord. 28 Do not do any work on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the Lord your God. 29 Those who do not deny themselves on that day must be cut off from their people. 30 I will destroy from among their people anyone who does any work on that day. 31 You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live. 32 It is a day of sabbath rest for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your Sabbath.” hide things from you, but loves to gives you aha moments so that you are appreciative of his handiwork. Give glory to God for the Atonement he sent the world. Give glory for the special sacrifice he sent us. Give glory to Jesus Christ, The Atonement of everlasting life
