It was inevitable and the first case of Ebola has finally arrived in America. Federal health officials on Tuesday confirmed the first case of Ebola diagnosed in the U.S. He is a male patient who recently traveled from Liberia to Dallas. The Dallas patient remains in “strict isolation” at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. The Hospital refuses to say if the man is from America or Liberia, but The City of Dallas says the man moved to Dallas from Liberia a week ago, but not much more has been released. Texas Health Dept also says, “patient left Texas to West Africa then returned to Texas”! CDC Press Conference says, “patient is from West Africa and is here visiting family”! So why do we have conflicting reports?

In order to calm the public before panic sets in officials are saying there was no risk to anyone on the airplane the man flew in but Dallas Fire-Rescue Assistant Chief Norman Seals said Tuesday night that the Ebola patient was transported to the hospital by three crew members from Fire Station 37, who are now in reverse isolation at home. That means they’ve been asked to stay home from work for 21 days, will be checked on daily, and will have their temperatures monitored. The ambulance that the Ebola patient traveled in is being quarantined. It was used 48 hours after the patient was transported to the hospital. Why would they risk the crew member’s lives and those close to them? Wouldn’t it be safer to isolate them just in case symptoms begin to manifest? Are we living in Bizarro World? Isolate them and stop all direct air travel from the  infected areas with the Ebola Outbreak.

Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that “I have no doubt that we will control this case of Ebola, so that it does not spread widely in this country.” “It is certainly possible that someone who has had contact with this patient could develop Ebola. But there is no doubt in my mind that we will stop it here.” It’s funny that he says that because they refuse to release the direct flight he was on or much less talk about the people he may have come in contact with when he went to the hospital the first time after coming down with the disease. The question I have now is who did he infect?

Is America deliberately being infected? Why are funeral homes being warned by the CDC to Prepare for Ebola Victims? Why did the U.S. State Department ordered 160,000 Ebola hazmat suits? Why are they preparing for a Pandemic if the Ebola Virus is in West Africa?

West Africa

Sierra Leone: Meanwhile the Ebola Virus is threatening to engulf West Africa as Sierra Leone largest Newspaper, the Awareness Times, is reporting with alarm that at least 1,028 Ebola patients appear to be missing in the country. The official Ministry of Health statistics account for a smaller number of combined victims and survivors of the disease than the total number of registered cases. The Awareness Times report notes that the Ministry of Health has confirmed 2,000 cases of Ebola in the country. Did I miss something here? How do you lose 1000 people infected with the Ebola Virus? How can the Sierra Leone Government be so incompetent?

Liberia: With its collapsed health service, sick and poorly equipped security forces and broken economy, Ebola-hit Liberia finds itself on the brink of complete societal breakdown, experts warn. Minister Lewis Brown recently warned that the epidemic risks plunging Liberians back into conflict. Sean Casey, director of anti-Ebola operations in Liberia for the International Medical Corps (IMC) warns that, “”We have a lot to worry about. If we have thousands or tens of thousands more deaths, that`s going to have a very destabilizing effect”. A humanitarian worker, speaking on condition of anonymity, reflects growing concern among politicians, analysts and health care workers over the possibility of a “social explosion”.

“There is the fear, frustration, anger at the impotence of the government, and the associated economic destabilisation,” he said.

Ebola is officially out of control. The virus has entered a new phase. It is ready to become a very dangerous world Pandemic. Can it be stopped? Is America prepared to combat this deadly disease? With incompetence running high expect the virus to begin breaking all containment barriers. No one is safe and America that prides itself on readiness may be about to be caught unaware on a potentially lethal outbreak. Be prepared and have an exit plan.

  1. Harley says:

We should never have brought anyone to this country that has Ebola, like the first couple that were brought here. We should also have banned anyone from infected countries to enter this country period. Now, I don’t believe there is any way to stop the spread. Everyone who came in contact with this man should be quarantined now, but of course, that won’t happen. I also think it is air borne, but they just aren’t telling us.
