As The Ebola Virus continues to Ravage The West African Nation, signs are pointing to a possible outbreak to other nations. The means that the virus is getting across  through air travel. What is potentially frightening is that victims will not show symptoms for 2 to 21 days. Those returning to their countries, who have been to the Epicenter of the outbreak, are potentially risking infecting others that they may come across. This means there may be some people who are carrying this Virus unknowingly. The Ebola Virus has been confirmed in Morocco and The Philippines. News reports out of New York are a male patient is in strict isolation with a high fever and gastrointestinal symptoms. There are unconfirmed reports that Brazil had a patient in isolation.

Can the spread of the Ebola Virus be contained? What are the real chances that the virus can create a Global Pandemic? Fear and Paranoia seems to be gripping the world and the World Health Organization has warned that Ebola can cause a catastrophic loss of life and severe economic losses if it continues to spread. Here is a short list of places that the Ebola may have been spread and or people are being quarantined and isolated to test for the disease.
New York: In New York the Mount Sinai Hospital is performing tests on a patient who had recently traveled to a West African country where Ebola has been reported. A male patient with high fever and gastrointestinal symptoms came to the hospital’s emergency room on Monday morning, officials said. The hospital says the patient has been placed in strict isolation and is undergoing medical screenings to determine the cause of his symptoms. Brietbart has an article that says that 6 patients were tested for the Ebola with negative results. During a live interview with CNN Dr. Sanjay Gupta added, “There have been about a half-a-dozen patients who have had their blood tested because of the concern. Those particular patients, their stories were not made public. This patient was. I’m not sure if that’s because of heightened concern by the hospital or what that means exactly. But, again, we just can’t say for sure until the final tests come back and you know, they want to be sure on this. It takes about a day or so.” Anchor Wolf Blitzer concluded by pointing out that all of these six individuals tested negative for Ebola. (SOURCE BRIETBART)
