What is the Mark of the Beast? Could it be the RFID Chip that so many are claiming it to be? Could it be something entirely different that is waiting for the right moment to make its grand entrance upon the whole world? Revelation 13:16-17, “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” So why do I believe that the RFID chip is not the Mark? If you read scripture carefully you will notice that the Mark given to people is actually like a brand. The way we brand our cattle in a sense is a good example. The Greek word for “Mark” is charagma. During the Roman era the charagma was a seal stamped with the name and date of the emperor and it was attached to documents. The charagma represented the likeness or name of the emperor. The charagma was also a brand. During the Roman era slaves were branded with marks of ownership, just like cattle is today. Religious tattooing was also common. Soldiers also had customs of branding themselves with the name of a favorite general. Followers of a false god labeled themselves with tattoos to show loyalty to that deity. In this it becomes apparent that the Mark you will receive will be like a marking on your body. By putting this mark on your forehead you basically tell him you are ready to SERVE HIM. By putting it on your right hand you will basically commit to an OATH OF LOYALTY. The Antichrist will be able to separate his goats from the sheep’s. Remember the Antichrist will run a counterfeit religion. In like ways by branding you he is coping the same method God brands you Exodus 13:8-9, “ And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt. And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord’s law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.” So what am I trying to say about the Mark? I believe it will be a tattoo like transmitter that will be invisible to the human eye. It will attach to your skin and imbed itself with your Skin, Blood, and DNA. You will be able to buy, sell, call, email, and maybe even surf the web. It will be an amazing advancement to those who accept it. It will also signal your fate with God when you will have to drink from the cup of his wrath and judgments. There will be no turning back and forgiveness will not be within your reach. That time is drawing closer every day. Soon the whole world will experience the Day of the Lord and a choice will be set before you. Will you follow the Antichrist or follow God?
