I cannot fathom what some of these Christians are going through when they die for their faith. The slaughter of Christians seems to be intensifying while the sleeping Christians do absolutely nothing to help those suffering persecution. The increase and severity of the attacks on the Church of God will be nothing compared to day of The Antichrist. We read in the Bible that our professions in Christ will be rewarded in the end. Matthew 5:10-11 reads, “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11. Blessed are you when men cast insults at you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on account of Me. No matter the outcome of all the evil being persecuted on Christians at the current time, they cannot take away our hope and promise that we have in Jesus Christ. The current Church should be ashamed for the atrocities being committed and not standing up and speaking out against all of these dastardly acts. The silence of the Christians is so loud it is deafening.  What should the silent Christians be doing in return? Funny, we confess our love for God  in Music, Entertainment, or a Blog, but we cant speak up when our brothers and sisters are being killed for that love.

CHRISTIANITY TODAY:  Swiftly on the heels of Christmas comes the feast of the Holy Innocents. On December 28, churches around the world commemorate the first Christian martyrs—those who lost their lives when King Herod ordered the execution of all males two and under in the vicinity of Bethlehem. (Greek liturgy maintains that 14,000 boys were killed, while several medieval writers claimed 144,000. Given the small population of Bethlehem, most modern scholars agree the number to be closer to 20.) CLICK TO READ REST OF ARTICLE

CHRISTIAN POST: In what is being described as “new levels of viciousness,” UNICEF, the UN agency for children, says children are now being attacked in the fighting between Muslim Seleka rebels and Christian militias in the Central African Republic (CAR), which has left 1,000 dead and displaced an estimated 400,000 this month alone.

In a report in The Guardian, UNICEF confirmed that since early December, at least two children have been beheaded and another mutilated in the violence in Bangui, the country’s capital CLICK TO READ REST OF ARTICLE

WND (WORLD NET DAILY): NEW YORK – Atrocities by Syrian jihadist rebels have reached sensational new levels, according to a revered nun working with persecuted Christians and an explosive new video report.

Sister Hatune Dogan told WND in a Skype interview that members of the Syrian opposition are draining the blood of Christians they behead and selling vials to Islamic radicals for $100,000 a piece CLICK TO READ REST OF ARTICLE

This is heart breaking. You hear very little on the news here about this. Maybe that is part of the reason there is little outcry. I would hope that I could be as brave as these dear Christian martyrs if I ever had to be in a similar situation. That happening in this country is not that far fetched anymore.
